Connor grew up inside both industries. Her father built a commercial contracting company. Her uncle spent his career selling heavy equipment. Bid timelines, dealer territories, vacuum truck specs, roofing crews—that vocabulary was her first language. When she studied marketing at SMU and looked at how her dad’s company was actually getting business, the problem was obvious. A successful contractor surviving in 2018 on referrals and mailers because every agency that came through treated his company’s services like a consumer or residential product.
